7 Sufi Ways of the Heart

A Practice Circle is a closed group that meets via Zoom once a week for between six to ten consecutive weeks. Each weekly gathering is facilitated and goes for 90 minutes. In practice circles we engage in contemplative practice together, cultivating harmony of being by attuning to and aligning with the Presence of Spirit and ‘the sound of the genuine’ within us and between us.

When: Feb 13 – Mar 27 , 2026; 8:00am - 9:30am NZST
Where: Online via Zoom
Facilitator: Philippa Ranby
Cost: Koha / Dana (Guide: $10 - $20 per meeting)

Focusing texts:  Divine Names & The Sufi Book of Life

In this practice circle, we’ll contemplate one Divine Name each week, engaging in a contemplative reading of the Name followed by a heart-centred meditation. Neil Douglas-Klotz refers to the Divine Names as “pathways of the heart,” beautiful, complementary fields of wisdom and rich sources of contemplation helping us see with ‘the eye of the heart.’

The two texts which will serve as our guideas are Divine Names, by Rosina-Fawzia Al-Rawi and The Sufi Book of Life, by Neil Douglas-Klotz, which are both illuminations of the 99 healing names of Living Presence. Please Note: You don’t need a copy of either book to participate in this Practice Circle. The readings for each week will be made available to participants.

Participants will receive a Zoom invitation that will be their link to the six Practice Circle meetings and will be encouraged to join each meeting at 7:55am for an 8:00am start.
