Practice Circles

Engaging in contemplative practice together

In Practice Circles we engage in contemplative practice together, cultivating harmony of being by attuning to and aligning with the Presence of Spirit and ‘the sound of the genuine’ within us and between us.  Practice Circles are closed groups that meet via Zoom once a week for eight consecutive weeks. Each weekly circle is facilitated and goes for an hour and a half.

Realising our common unity

A Practice Circle offers you the opportunity to engage in contemplative practice with others on a regular basis. It’s a way of partaking in and realising our common unity.

Practice Circles usually include silence and meditation or Centering Prayer, a focussing text or theme resonant with mystical spirituality, and conscious conversation about the relationship between what we’re contemplating and our daily lives.

Other spiritual practices such as chanting, conscious embodiment, and meditative art-making are also often included.

Upcoming Practice Circles

  • The Poetry of Presence

    Feb 2 - Mar 22, 2024 | Zoom

In this practice circle, we’ll be drawn into encounters with the Living Presence of the sacred through the poetry of various accomplished poets such as Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, David Whyte, Jane Hirshfield and others.

  • 8 Sufi Ways of the Heart

    May 3 - Jun 21, 2024 | Zoom

Our two texts, Divine Names, by Rosina-Fawzia Al-Rawi and The Sufi Book of Life, by Neil Douglas-Klotz, are both illuminations of the 99 healing names of the One Love. Douglas-Klotz also refers to these names as ‘pathways of the heart’.

  • The Gospel of Thomas

    Aug 2 - Sep 20, 2024 | Zoom

The Gospel of Thomas is a collection of wisdom sayings that invite contemplative engagement. Each week of this Practice Circle, we’ll contemplate one or two of these wisdom sayings and share our impressions in conscious conversation.

Gratitude from Participants

  • I appreciate Pip's humility and humour, and delight so much in her true embodiment of the teachings - I really sense the wider field through her. I feel so deeply grateful, enlivened and awake.

  • The practice circles I’ve been a part of have been wonderful. Pip’s ability to deeply hear what everyone brings and weave that into the teaching, the care and affirmation she offers, and the richness of the discussions have been a delight to be part of. There have been deep recognitions and turning points for me in these circles.

    Catherine

  • I'm sincerely grateful for Pip's work. It's a gift. It feels life-changing and life-enhancing. I haven't experienced embodied training and guidance like this anywhere else.

    Beverley
