A Practice Circle is a closed group that meets via Zoom once a week for between six to ten consecutive weeks. Each weekly gathering is facilitated and goes for 90 minutes. In practice circles we engage in contemplative practice together, cultivating harmony of being by attuning to and aligning with the Presence of Spirit and ‘the sound of the genuine’ within us and between us.
When: Jul 31 – Oct 9 , 2026; 8:00am - 9:30am NZST
Where: Online via Zoom
Facilitator: Philippa Ranby
Cost: Koha / Dana (Guide: $10 - $20 per meeting)
In this practice circle, we’ll learn Yeshua’s Prayer - more commonly referred to as The Lord’s Prayer - in the original Aramaic, the language in which Yeshua himself would have prayed. We’ll be drawing on the translation and commentaries offered by Neil Douglas-Klotz offered in his books “Prayers of the Cosmos” and “Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus.” Please note: You do not need access to either of these books in order to participate in this Practice Circle.
Our first circle will be an orientation to each other, to Yeshua’s Prayer in Aramaic, and to the work of Neil Douglas-Klotz in illuminating the rich meaning that the original Aramaic language reveals. In our subsequent gatherings, one line of the prayer will serve as our gateway to contemplation each week as we allow both the sound and meaning of Yeshua’s transmission of Wisdom to resonate within our being.
As with all practice circles, there’ll be an opportunity offered to share with one another what impressions arise for us in the course of our contemplation. Participants will be free to speak or to hold silence.
Participants will receive a Zoom invitation that will be their link to the ten Practice Circle meetings and will be encouraged to join each meeting at 7:55am for an 8:00am start.
There will be a one week break in the middle of this practice circle, with no gathering on September 4.
